Why law firm SEO pays.

A single signed matter covers a year of this in most practice areas. That is the economic case for a law firm in one sentence, and it is stronger here than in any industry I sell to.

Legal is the most expensive ground in local search. Google's own top-of-page bid estimate on law firm search terms in this market reaches $142 for a single click, which is multiples of what a click costs almost any other business in the Valley. Badly aimed advertising burns a law firm faster than it burns anyone else, and for the same reason work that only brings you the searches worth having pays back faster.

02 · is law firm seo worth it

You can't check your marketing spend.

You are already paying for this. A few thousand a month, maybe a great deal more, and it has been running long enough that stopping feels like admitting something.

Here is the part nobody says out loud. You cannot tell whether it works. An invoice arrives, a report arrives listing back the practice areas your firm handed over in the first place, and no line anywhere connects any of it to a signed matter. When you ask, the answer is about impressions.

That is not a complaint about the money. It is a complaint about not being able to check. It is the thing attorneys say most often about the vendor who came before me, and it is an accounting problem before it is a marketing one.

My answer to that is a record, not a promise. Every report I write is published in full at its own URL, faults included, so you can read one the way you read a brief before you ever speak to me.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

The marketing I run for law firms.

A firm usually has one company on the website, another on the ads, somebody's cousin on social, and no one answerable for the number at the bottom. Here all of it is mine, which means one person to ask when the consults slow down and one answer instead of three that point at each other.

None of it is sold as a package you have to take whole. If your site is fine and your ads are the problem, I do the ads.

Search

Your practice-area pages written and shipped, the technical faults closed, your Google Business Profile managed, your citations cleaned up.

Google Ads and Local Services Ads. Written, launched, and pruned every week against the terms that produced a signed matter, not the ones that produced traffic.

Your website

Designed and shipped on hosting in your firm's name, with call and form tracking on it from the first day so every lead has a source attached to it.

Email

Written and sent. The consult who did not book, the client whose matter closed last year, the referral source who has gone quiet.

An AI front desk on the calls that come in after hours. It takes the details and books the consult, because a call at seven at night that nobody answers is a matter you never hear about.

Reporting

What shipped, with the date on it, the page it touched, and the result. Counted in signed matters and booked consults.

04 · how law firm seo works

What decides law firm rankings.

Four things decide which firm in this town is in front of a person looking for a lawyer. Everything else is a subcategory of one of them, and three of the four are checkable from outside your office today.

How the search work runs
Your practice-area pages. A firm that lists eight practice areas in one paragraph competes for none of them. Each one that matters needs its own page, written for the way that client actually searches, and shipped.
Your Google Business Profile and your reviews. For anyone searching close to your office, this decides more than your website does, and it is the asset most firms never touch again after setup.
Paid search and Local Services Ads. Paid is where you buy the position organic has not earned yet, and Local Services Ads put the Google Screened badge next to your firm in the practice areas that qualify for it.
Intake. A matter is signed after the call connects, not before, so how fast a caller reaches a person and what happens to the ones who called once and never came back is part of the marketing whether anyone is managing it or not.
05 · seo process for law firms

My law firm SEO process.

There are five steps, and each ends in a document. A step with no document behind it did not happen.

AI is the engine underneath all of it. It is the reason one person can run the search work, the ads, the site and the email for your firm at the same time and still file every change where you can find it. The judgment is mine. The volume is the machine's.

What I need from you is small and it is not optional. Access to the accounts, an hour a month, and a straight answer about which matters are actually worth having. A firm that wants more of every kind of case is a firm nobody can market for.

Access and baseline

I get into the site, the ad account, the profile and the call log, and I write down where every number stands today so there is something to measure the next twelve months against.

The work on the site. Technical faults closed, practice-area pages written and shipped, the Google Business Profile rebuilt, call and form tracking turned on. You get the list of what changed and the date each item went out.

Ads on

Ad copy written, negative keyword lists built before launch instead of after, Local Services Ads set up where your practice area qualifies. Pruned weekly against signed matters.

Follow-up

Emails written and going out to the consults who did not book and the clients whose matter has closed, because that list is already the least expensive source of work your firm owns.

A one-page record every month covering what shipped, what it produced, what comes next and what I got wrong. It lands on its own.

Every issue I find gets an identity the day I find it. First seen, last seen, and it closes itself when a later run stops finding it. You have the login, so you can read how long anything has been sitting there without asking me.

06 · law firm seo company las vegas

Your four options for SEO help.

You have four, and you are already doing one.

The default is the first one, not doing nothing. Most firms that decide to leave a vendor are still with that vendor a year later, because switching means admitting the last two years were spent.

Keep the current vendor. Costs what you already pay, indefinitely. Nothing changes, including your ability to check.
A national company that sells only to law firms. Costs more than you pay now. You get a process built for a firm fifty times your size, a junior on the account, and reporting that gets better looking rather than more checkable.
Bring it in-house. Costs a salary plus the time to manage it. This works if you can hire someone senior. A junior marketer with no oversight reproduces the same problem with a different org chart.
Do it yourself. Costs partner time, which is the most expensive input in the building. Attorneys reach for this more often than you would think, and the reason they give is transparency rather than cost. It is a rational choice and it caps out fast.
07 · how long does seo take

How long law firm SEO takes.

There are two clocks and confusing them is how firms end up disappointed. Paid search is the fast one. Ads can be on within a week of getting account access, and the phones usually move the same week they do.

Search is the slow one. On the terms fewer firms are fighting over, movement typically shows inside the first ninety days. On the terms every firm in the Valley wants, plan on six months before you judge it, and longer if the site is new or has been penalized. Those are the numbers I have watched hold.

What I will not do is give you a date by which you will be first. Nobody controls that, and anyone quoting you a position is quoting a number they do not own. What arrives every month regardless is the record of what shipped and what it produced, so you are never guessing whether the clock is still running.

08 · how much does law firm seo cost

Law firm SEO pricing.

$1,000 a month per service. Search counts as one, Google Ads as one, the website as one, email as one. Two services are $1,799 a month, three are $2,499, and you take the ones your firm needs.

No setup fee and no onboarding fee. Your firm owns the site, the domain, the ad account, the analytics and the data, and you keep all of it if we stop. Ad spend is separate and it goes to Google, not to me.

Three months, because nothing real happens faster. If there is no movement by month three, you leave. Month to month after that.

The guarantee is the work and the record. Every issue gets a date the day I find it, every change is logged, and a one-pager lands every month. That is a promise about what you can see, not about where Google puts your firm.

Nobody in this category posts a price. You should not have to ask twice, so here it is.

09 · common law firm marketing questions

Law firm marketing questions.

One promise, and it is the only one on this page. I will tell you what is costing your firm clients, then I will fix it. If the audit says I am not the fix, I will tell you and name who is.

What about the Nevada rules on attorney advertising?
Your ads, your landing pages and your review requests all have to sit inside the Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct on lawyer advertising, and Nevada carries a filing and review requirement under Rule 7.2A that most states do not have. I write to those rules, I flag anything that reads like a promise about the outcome of a case, and you approve the wording before it goes out. I also will not promise you a ranking, because nobody can, and a guaranteed-position claim is the kind of thing your bar and your buyers both discount.
How much does this cost?
$1,000 a month per service. Two services are $1,799, three are $2,499, and there is no setup fee. Three months, because nothing real happens faster, then month to month. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to Google.
Who owns the website, the ad account and the analytics?
Your firm does. Every account is opened in the firm's name with me added as a manager. If we stop working together you keep the site, the domain, the ad history and the data, and you get a full export of all of it.
Do I get handed to an account coordinator after I sign?
No. The person who sells you is the person doing the work. There is no coordinator, because there is nobody else here to hand you to.
What answers the phone after hours?
An AI front desk, if you want one. It takes the caller's details, answers what your intake person would answer about hours and practice areas, and books the consult onto your calendar. A call at seven at night is a matter you never hear about otherwise, and recovering it costs you nothing you are not already spending.
Are you working with other Las Vegas law firms?
Ask me before you sign and I will tell you straight whether I already handle the marketing for a firm that competes with you in your practice area. You should not have to discover that six months in.
How will I know it is working?
You get a login. Every issue I find has a first-seen date and closes itself when it is fixed, and every lead has its source attached to it, so the monthly read is something you check instead of something you take my word for.

Every service I run.

Search for law firms is one piece of one of six things I run. If the audit says your problem is somewhere else, I will tell you, and I do the other five.

See the other professional-services verticals
SEO, including local search, technical work, content and your Google Business Profile.
Google Ads and Meta Ads, written and pruned weekly.
Web design, built on hosting in your name.
Email marketing, written and sent.
An AI receptionist for the calls nobody is answering.
Fractional leadership when the firm needs someone senior owning the whole thing.
who does the work

Who does the work.

I do the work on your account myself, and the same person you talk to is the person who ships it.

I studied design, then spent over a decade in agencies running production, account management, creative direction and finally the sales team, on work for UFC, Caesars Entertainment, the City of Las Vegas and Supercuts. The branding won American Advertising Federation awards, and in 2025 I spoke at the Neighborly national franchise conference on AI adoption.

What you get from that is a straight answer about what is realistic and a dated record of what changed, which is the part most owners cannot get out of what they already pay for.
